And more Bangkok

Yes, there is so much to tell, see, smell, gaze, admire, wonder, inspire and confuse us in Bangkok that after five days in the city we are still far away from getting a grip of it, but by now we can pretty well bargain with the Tuk Tuks, our favourite means of transportation, AC included ;)

And what a great way to start the day with a stroll down our little market street, have banana pancakes (they actually cook the banana IN the pancake) and a fruit juice and the best of it all, we have all the time in the world to decide which temple we want to see today. Well soon this idyllic romance is drowned in the sweat and smoke of this bustling city but its enough to keep the adrenaline high for half a day. Then we have something tasty to eat (and having pictures on the menu helps only half way through....). The city has so many faces: the ancient river and the sky train, the beautiful parks and smelly alleyways, the buddhist temples and the market-economy-is-the-god shopping malls and everywhere the little Thai people in their yellow T-shirts. Yellow is the colour of the King and it is everywhere, along with pictures, calendars, postcards and portraits of him, no doubt who sets the rules of the game in this country.

Dear children,
It is great to have all the time in the world... Remember that feeling. But do not get addicted to it - it is intoxicating.
Great pictures, though!
Love, daddy
